Peterborough Foodbank

Offer food parcels to those who are unable to afford food. If you need support from Peterborough Foodbank, please call the FREE National Citizens Advice Line (open Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm). In addition to be being able to issue foodbank vouchers, they can provide information and advice on welfare benefits and debt issues. 

Millfield Community Fridge

Anyone can access, no need for a referral. They offer free fruit, veg, bread and other basic supplies. They rely on donations of  surplus food from supermarkets, food businesses and individuals. Open Door Baptist Church Hall on Searjeant Street, Millfield, Peterborough PE1 2LY.

Community fridge is available to everyone. Anyone can come and take some food, choosing what they want. You need to bring carrier bags. Paston Farm Centre, Freston, Paston, Peterborough PE4 7XP.

The Food Basket

The Food Basket is a pop-up community fridge running at different locations in the evenings each week. This is an initiative to reduce food waste and NOT a food bank – everyone is welcome to turn up and take what they need to prevent surplus food from going to landfill.

St Peter’s Food Bank

St. Peter’s work in partnership with Yaxley Parish Council, local schools and other voluntary and statutory organisations in the wider Peterborough area to help meet the local need. They also signpost to agencies who can offer additional help and begin to resolve any underlying problems.

Thorney Eye and Surrounding Areas Food Bank

This is a completely community run Food Hub based in Thorney. They aim to provide parcels that will support feeding the family for a week, as well as hygiene products. They do not require any referrals but do ask that if you require a parcel please email  by 6pm on a Friday for collection on Saturday morning.

Little Miracles
