Help for households– a government website to provide information for help available; including energy costs, childcare costs, cost of living payment etc.

Energy Bill Support Scheme

The energy bill support scheme is automatic and worth £400.  How the money will be discounted is explained here : https://www.gov.uk/guidance/getting-the-energy-bills-support-scheme-discount

Ask for Henry

Those who are in need of a free hot meal at Morrison’s cafe’s can ask for Henry and receive a free hot meal (this could be for a limited time and is jacket potato and baked beans from the press I am seeing).


Vulnerable Adult Scheme The city council offers a scheme for vulnerable adults to be able to apply for food or energy vouchers.

Pensioner Support Scheme – Age Uk runs the support scheme on behalf of the city council that offers support with utilities and food.

School holiday voucher scheme – has been extended until March 2023.
